approximately nine hours ago, i chatted with a friend of mine about the things we love; fashion and vintage.

it was so much fun and i truly miss all those times i spent with the girls who were on the same page with us!
catherhea, fariza, kaireen, nadja, zima; I MISS YOU GIRLS SO SO MUCH.
:(

and seeing nadja's blog entry on our first vintage market event (we organized it; so fucking cool that it came out well), i realized that time flew by so fast!
i wish we have the time for another one; but growing up means too many other commitments.
:(

and now, vintage markets are popping up EVERYWHERE like mushrooms after the rain!
i wouldn't say we're pioneers for this, oh no, but we find it so amazing how like-minded people can make something work even though we are from all walks of life!
people who love vintage are so awesome; during the vintage market, it felt more like a friendly gathering of old friends rather than a market just to sell things!
i even got my parents to enjoy what a flea market truly is (RM5 items or less, woot!) and i'm really happy they were there to help me with my store (although mom shopped for her life that day LOL) and witness the fun!

besides that, this year was great because i finally graduated with a degree!
though i'm sucked right back in to do my postgraduate, it was a great feeling knowing one chapter of my life has ended properly and that life would get harder from now on, but i will survive.
also, it helps that postgraduate is research-based and i can arrange my schedule properly!
highlight of the event; my parents handmade that cutie pie INCLUDING the box you see in the photo above and made me cry on my graduation day.

financially, we're all pretty much still the same; allowances go on and off randomly, money rewards come by here and there, but it has been alright still.
to deal with that problem a little bit, i started a new venture which i have been planning for awhile.
:)

armed with a notepad one random night and with some approved financial help from the hubby; i started collecting items for inventory and listed them all down with much detail soon after.
i am a perfectionist; i like it when my inventory/catalog is in order and is informative to me!
i discovered many beautiful things and this kept my happy levels up because i am absolutely in love with what i am doing!
when happy levels are up; life always feels better.

a month into the business, i can say that i have a very good feeling about it!
it's not really about the money, but it does help fund my education.
i am a poor student without grant and without pay; the economy is really bad LOL.

attended a wedding of my friend, too!
it's really awesome and exciting, but then reality comes crashing in and i'm reminded that we're growing up.

it was a fun wedding though; met a lot of people i haven't met in YEARS.
oops, bride's not in the photo LOL.

let's see, what else...

AH YES!

the hubby bought me an anniversary present for the first time ever (monthly anniversaries don't mean anything to us LOL) and it was the most random gift ever!

but i love it all the same and so does the little squealing kid in me (no, i meant my young self; i'm not pregnant); it was so amazing.
best present ever, seriously.

there are more things that happened i'm sure, but these are the top in my list for this year.
i think i did it right!

wow.
i had no idea i can be away from this blog for so long!

anyway, i was busy with my new business venture as blabbed in the blog entry below and i am thankful for the opportunity and for the new friends i meet.
i have been very lucky in many ways, and i can't thank every one enough!

it has only been five weeks since i started the opulent hippo and about three weeks since i started my etsy shop (pimp shop time LOL), but the vintage jewelry i sourced have been received pretty well and i cannot believe the amount of support everyone has given me.
:)

it helps that i personally enjoy collecting vintage jewelry, but it takes a lot of will and strength to not keep everything i purchase to myself wtf.

as for life, everything have been slow-moving but well; i have arranged my schedule so i will be free to accompany the hubby and my family until chinese new year!
come february, i am going to be busy as a bee and i'm not even researching about bees cheh.
money matters still prevails in my daily life and i have been trying extra hard to not eat to extravagantly so that i can bring in more stocks for my shop!
yes, i value my business more than my life wtf.

i haven't gotten around to d.i.y. stuff lately, but i'm hoping to accomplish some when i get back home this weekend!
i am hoping to complete that lion-knocker jacket that i have been putting off for god-knows-how-long and i am determined to make it awesome!
but end results may vary wtf.

i love vintage jewelry and i feel that it's worth cultivating a good habit of re-using old stuff that still has plenty of life in them.

it is no secret that many vintage items are of high quality (compared to necklaces that rust and tarnish so easily nowadays) and beautiful pieces deserve to be properly loved again!
also, it doesn't hurt that you may be the only one in the world left with that awesomely unique piece!

which is why i have decided to extend my passion into a shop that specializes on vintage items, with plenty of vintage jewelry, of course!

note to readers: all photos shown here are some of the pieces i will be offering in my vintage blog shop (the opulent hippo) soon!

here's a mini run-through on the stock-purchasing process which i'm currently doing for the opulent hippo!

search for the items i'm looking for
save pages that i consider bid/purchase-worthy
write down the list of those i'm planning on bidding and the total price including postage
divide total with the amount of pieces to get the cost of each individual piece
re-evaluate the lots; delete unwanted lots
arrange desired lots by level of importance
calculate the maximum bids
place bids accordingly
watch and protect ongoing bids (the MOST frustrating part!)
win bids (and dance for joy!)
receive parcels from u.s.a. or u.k. (yes, this is where most of the stock is coming from!)
sort items to be sold (and my *cough* personal collection... BWAHAHAHA)
take photos of items to be sold
upload photos and write witty but informative descriptions on product
wait for interested customers
keep customers happy!
repeat whole cycle

LOL sounds like i'm talking to myself (which i do, actually).

but as you can see from the grueling process, i obviously take this business very seriously!

i believe that one should never sacrifice quality for price; so most of the items will be going for less than rm100!
unless they are marked EXCLUSIVE, which means it is of excellent quality and cost a bomb to get it!

this is completely weird and random and out-of-place (I KNOW) but i could not resist it!
i would like one in every flavor (LOL) but including shipping, it would cost a bomb.

it's about 7cm tall and 4cm wide; won't take up too much space and it'll be perfect on my study table!

i LOVE this because:
1 it's gold AND I LOVE ANYTHING GOLD.

3 it's cheap AND I OBVIOUSLY LOVE ANYTHING CHEAP BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
there's a catch though; postage is a killer and i'm still trying to negotiate FML.

i love the fact that this pouch is in great vintage condition.
i also have an immense love for anything tapestry and this would be a great addition to my vintage bags collection!

i think this is the most brilliant gift to anyone who enjoys purchasing vintage rhinestone jewelry lots that require a lot of repairing a.k.a. missing rhinestones!
but of course, this sentiment is only shared between me and my vintage-loving friends; this is mostly junk to the rest of you out there, haha.
i just started expanding my vintage jewelry collection last week and while searching for jewelry to purchase, i realized that this lot is crucial because a lot of amazing rhinestone jewelry would go to waste because at their age, rhinestones would disappear quite easily.
so yah, all that justifies this purchase, LOL.

there's plenty more where that came from; but for now, these possible purchases are on top of my list!

today was an awesome day because i got to meet up with a good buddy from primary school.

i am paying homage to my favorite childhood craft supply with this d.i.y. project; GLITTER!

i have missed mooncake festival for three years and forgo-ed one of my favorite sweet treats because:

i was in university and did not celebrate it with anyone
my family forgot all about me

when i was lucky, i only got leftover mooncakes when the festival was long over.

and then only my relatives realized they forgot to invite me over for celebration, and my parents didn't send or save any mooncakes for me.

the only time i really got to savor mooncakes was when the hubby brought some over for me.

my favorite mooncake has always been the lotus paste without yolk!

so i didn't get to watch 'tales of asgard' before, but i've managed to download it!

instead of writing today, i decided to engage myself in something else creative; SKETCHING!
i swear, the last time i sketched was a decade ago.
i sucked then, bet i'm still bad at it now, LOL.

note to readers: i did some digging through my archives, and found out that... I USED TO BE ABLE TO SKETCH WITH COLOR PENCILS *wet eyes* here's proof: [link1] [link2].

wish i could do that with my current sketch!
however, it will most probably remain as a full-pencil sketch; i fear that my coloring skills will fail me, and the lack of nice color pencils will not help matters either.

anyway, here's a step-by-step guide to my sketch (LOL):

in one hour, all i got was this...

another hour later, i manage to draw this...

four hours since i started, and i finally ended up with this.

my very own fan-sketch of loki!
i used the costume from the movie instead of the original one from the marvel comics, because the new costume kicks ~~thor's~~ ass.

so farking proud of myself can cry.

however, do note that this is not complete, yet.
i had to start with loki because he's actually the centerpiece of what i'm planning to sketch.

here's hoping i won't give up on this sketch and will finish it; background and all.

previously (approximately ten years ago), i did a pencil sketch of a marvel comic character too, but i misplaced it and i can't seem to locate the scan on my blog!

i was raving about the movie 'thor' to my dad yesterday evening.
told him how much i enjoyed the movie, and how much i loved mythologies.
he told me he watched the movie online.
only to turn it off for the first twenty minutes.
*sweat drop*

he then proceeded to promote mythological movies of his time to me; jason and the argonauts, sinbad, etc.

when we got home, someone knocked on my door.
i unlocked the door, and saw my daddy standing there with his laptop and charger.
he said to me, "let's watch a movie!"

puzzled, i asked him what movie was it.
he said nothing and positioned the laptop on my bed; he made sure it was at the right angle and adjusted the volume appropriately.
before pressing the play button, he told me, "i think you're gonna like this."

even more puzzled, i stared at his laptop screen.
all i saw was rolling credits with names i do not recognize with glorious music playing in the background.
"jason and the argonauts is it?" i asked.
"watch lah," he replied, his eyes still staring eagerly on the laptop screen.

he then proceeded to rewind the clip, probably thinking that i had missed an important clue to what the movie was about.
and then i saw it.
i saw the word 'marvel animation' flash before my eyes, and brightened with glee.

"OH! I KNOW THIS MOVIE!!! IT'S THE THOR CARTOON, RIGHT?!" i bellowed in excitement.
daddy smiled.

sadly, the movie was lagging, and we didn't get to watch it together.
but it is nice to know that daddy was paying attention to my conversations during dinner, and that he was willing to strip is manliness (LOL) to watch a cartoon with me that he knew i would love.

he tried to search other sources, but to no avail.
guess i'll have to find the dvd.

we then moved on to watching christopher lee's dracula, before realizing it is too slow and then switched to watching vintage british comedies, but the speed didn't improve and we had to abandon our friday movie night.
oh well.
*shrugs nonchalantly*

but, this made me realize how much i love my daddy, and how much he loves me.
and it's a great feeling.

she turned her attention to me for awhile, before turning her gaze upon the new earrings she had on the coffee table.

slowly, she removed them from the zip-lock bag; the earrings glistened under the night light as she fastened one on her right earlobe.
she stole a quick glance at me again, and fastened the other earring on the left.

she then tucked loose strands of hair behind her ears, and as she was about to turn away, her eyes met those of mine.
i stared back at her; her soul so lonely, so desperate, so lost.
she needed someone to understand her.
she longs and craves for it.

but all i could do was to gaze back; offering some comfort; some self-assurance.

and that was all that i could give her; a reflection of herself.

and i would love to immortalize those stories that i tell myself sometimes.

however, writing wasn't my strongest point due to the lack of, erm, expressiveness, and my limited vocabulary didn't help matters either.

on a random midnight of 27th may 2011, i decided that i needed to write what's been playing in my head lately.

i am obsessed with tom hiddleston's acting in thor as loki!
he may not be as 'godly-handsome' as how chris hemsworth was, but he certainly has the brains and agility!
also, a nice accent and pretty, green eyes.

i have always been a fan of loki, not exactly the marvel comic character, but more of the norse god in the mythology.
i am fascinated with his history, his children and most importantly, his shenannigans!

anyway, for those who had watched the movie, you would know by now that loki refers to the god of mischief in the norse mythology.
however, his title has been 'upgraded' to god of evil eventually, and he was also known as god of fire.
little was known about his first wife, named glut (which means glowing) but she bore him two daughters, einmyria (which means ashes) and eisa (which means ember).
a pretty hot family, don't you think?

he was also very, ermmm, gatal (malay for horny) because he married another woman, his more popular wife name sigyn, who gave him two sons named narvi and vali with an ill-fate.
vali was turned into a wolf by the gods who loki has enraged and tore out narvi's throat, which his entrails were used to bind loki in an infamous punishment where a poisonous snake was left above loki to drip its venom on his face until ragnorak.

he had a mistress, a giantess named angrboda who gave him three terrible children; fenrir the wolf, jormungand the sea serpent and hel, goddess of the underworld.

despite the three women he had, he still manages to find time to take advantage of other goddesses; sif (thor's wife) was one of them.

we started out early to kulim yesterday; it is the hubby's monthly(?) visit to the government office again!
after his chores, the hubby drove back to butterworth to settle personal matters; sounds boring but thank god it was quick!

the hubby booked thai dinner at 7pm, so we hung around aeon jusco prai.

and in the most random spur of moment, we decided to play time crisis.
in the kiddie arcade.
LOL.
rm4 for a two player game, bloody expensive if you asked me!

it was fun and pretty cool; we decided there and then that we needed a playstation.

the hubby and i went to gurney plaza yesterday after all the hoopla in university (ARGHHH) to have lunch and do a little shopping!

you see, the word 'shopping' appeals to me very much because i LOVE (again, i stress, LOVE) getting new, pretty additions to my wardrobe!

however, our shopping trip this time is very different from the other 6547298013 times, because we need to buy items to *AHEM* complete our love nest!

4 feather pilliows (woohoo! 2 for me and 2 for him), a bolster for him and a very happy me.
can't wait for the unveiling; the hubby just left to get our study chairs!

today was a WONDERUL day.
good alone doesn't cut it!

the day started out with an early day; i needed to be up so i could dig daddy up to pick up my bestie from university, xin yu!
i promised to introduce her to the flea markets in selangor (WE HAVE TWO THIS WEEKEND, BWAHAHA) because like me, she's a sucker for cheap deals.
:P

we had breakfast at mcd's; crowd was also in war like the last trip i was there, thanks to the free meal coupons that were thrown everywhere to everyone except us.
HMPH.

we got home for awhile, not before being driven out by my cousin (who, coincidentally, have also never been to a flea market after fainting in chatuchak) to our first planned stop of the day, KUTU MARKET 4!
we took the wrong turn again AND AGAIN before reaching there around noon!
thank god for us, the crowd wasn't really heavy yet and there was still a proper pathway for us to navigate around (HAHA).
i was GOBSMACKED when i saw the racks and racks of accessories, and more damagingly, VINTAGE BLAZERS.
I SWORE, I ALMOST DIED FROM HAPPINESS.
unfortunately, due to the heat (i was in a blazer; came prepared for the indoor, air-conditioned flea market but completely forgot about this one! *smacks forehead*) i didn't really thumbed through every one of them.

BUT.
i couldn't resist getting one, could i?
so i left with this:

i was hoping to wear this with my alexander mcqueen dress so i could overload on snakeskin, nyehehehe.

another purchase is a birthday present from my cousin; she saw how much i loved that necklace and got it for me.
YAY!
and this is only half of my birthday gifts from her.

i love long and chunky necklaces; the jade green centerpiece is ideal!
perfect to complete a plain, black maxi dress (which i have, hee).

after that purchase, we made our way to our next destination; flea what? 2!
i was there a day before actually, but i figured it'll be nice to take my bestie there.
plus, it was held indoors, much to our delight.
however, i noticed that there were a change of vendors...
or maybe i was blind the day before, FML.
i made a beeline to the stall that made customizable jewelry (i got gifts for my bestie and sister from there the day before) called vintage1988 to make a necklace for myself too!
this necklace is different from the previous purchase, because this one's very fine, dainty and adorable!

the photo is blur because my handphone camera sucks, but it is actually a teeny heart and a bear!
super duper love it, also a birthday present from my cousin.

i managed to meet my darling nadja from the vintage affair after sooo long; i missed her so!

while waiting for our snack to be done, we went a few more rounds of scouting and people-looking when i stumbled upon THE perfect pair of GRADUATION/working SHOES:

a pair of vintage salvatore ferragamo loafers in navy blue alligator-skin-print! ♥
it is in rather good vintage condition; besides creases and slight, unnoticeable scuff marks, it is AWESOME.
i can even see the gold stamp in the sole!
it is actually a few sizes too big for me, but thank goodness the front is narrow, so padding can fix it!
i think a round of polish will make it look even more amazing.
i consider this one of the many birthday presents i got for myself, hehe.
and for it's age, it is god damn comfortable.

mom almost killed me because of this, but even she had to admit it was nice to wear.

hmmm, waidaminute.

mom also wanted to kill me when she found out i bought YET another jacket/blazer.
*shudder*

the next item is my second and final damage; it certainly was the most expensive, too.
not over rm100 though; so it is quite a relief!

in fact, with the loafers and blazer combined, the price didn't surpass rm100.
AHHH, the joys of a successful shopping trip!

we went home to chill for awhile, before taking off to check out some boutiques in damansara uptown, but most of them were closed and the choices were quite disappointing.

much to our delight during dinner, mommy suggested that daddy take us all to bangsar for some boutique-therapy!

after much impromptu madness, we all ended the day with a nice 'yumchar' (coffee-drinking) session at the nearby mamak before sending my bestie home.

definitely one of the best days that combines family, friends and plenty of love.
i would live this day all over again if i had the chance!

just got back from penang with the family; went back for 'cheng beng' (a day where we visit graves of our ancestors).

prior to that, i passed up my thesis drafts; the clerk asked me why was i so fast LOL.

watched the hubby with withdrawal symptoms; he didn't want us to leave penang.

hugged him as much as i could and promised to be home with him soon; our anniversary is coming up soon.

had lunch at my family's favorite hangout spot; they sell a mean tomato rice and other malay delicacies.

had dinner in our favorite thai restaurant in ipoh; no where else have tom yam like they do.

heard my parents' conversation; it has been awhile since i heard them spoke so nicely to each other.

can't wait to move in to (a few) new place(s) soon; family's shifting to a better neighborhood and i'm looking forward to catch a glimpse of my humongous wardrobe in the hubby's place.

expecting plenty of guests this week; two of my cousins are coming down and my so is my bestie from university.

need to REALLY start studying soon; exam is in less than a month.

missing the hubby already; dammit.

okay okay, i blame the bad weekend on myself because i left my wallet at my aunt's place, leaving myself with loaned rm15 (thanks, xin yu!) to spend on the weekend!
and to think on that same day when i visited my aunt, i just withdrawed money!
ARGHHH!
also, i had a lab report to complete; i hate writing lab reports when the results are all jumbled up and there are late corrections.

anyway, i digress.

normally, i love to indulge in good food on weekends but this weekend, i obviously have to make do with what i have!
plus, i'm sick so going out for every meal is not an option for me (a.k.a. i'm LAZY)...

and during lunch yesterday, i had a random thought.
what if i force myself to only spend, say, rm5 for every (about two meals, since i usually take brunch) meal i have (minus weekends)?
that will be rm5 by 2 meals by 20 days of the month, so this means i spend rm200 per month!
that's all of my allowance!
unfortunately, most of the time when i eat out, the minimum i spend it about rm7 (curse you, rising costs!) so that means i spend way more than i should on food alone per month!
and i haven't included weekend food!

therefore, i conclude that my allowance alone is definitely not enough for me to survive university and that taking the student loan was probably for the best.
*sigh*
oh, and in my situation, having the hubby is also for the best, too!
*smile sweetly*

but then, i've decided to try a budget/limit things for kicks!
so from now until i'm done with my university life, i shall only spend rm4 for every meal on weekdays.
just a little experiment, would be great if i manage to survive with it.
i think it is definitely possible if i stay in hostel, but now that i'm staying out (more like a nomad with no proper place), it is very hard to sustain it.
then again, if i don't try it out, i'll never know!

if i spend too much on one meal, i shall cut down on the other meal.
if i spend all on one meal, i shall not spend on the next meal!
hmmm, come to think of it, this plan seems great!
i get to save money AND lose weight!
LOL.

as of late, it is very obvious that fashion is my favorite past time.
yes, it is a past time because i spend every free time i have doing ANYTHING related to fashion; dressing up, getting fashion inspirations from the web, reading fashion magazines, shopping and etc!

and now, i'm bringing my past time to a whole new level by downloading fashion applications!
fashion magazine applications, shop-the-look applications, lookbook applications and also designing applications!

however, my favorite new application has got to be the WARDROBE ORGANIZER!
it actually helps you to plan your outfits to make sure you don't wear the same outfit to the same event or to see the same person!
i personally think this application is useful because i think it is time for me to 'document' my clothes and accessories and donate/sell the rest!
the application are for iphones and itouch only though; hence the very blur interface on my ipad.
it is still functional though; which is pretty neat, if you can overlook the wee setback!

these sets aren't cheap at all (which is why i haven't opened them!) but i truly, truly love them!
and the hubby was actually pretty normal about it.
he asked me if i thought the set was cute, and naturally, i said yes!

a word of caution though, it is a very metaphoric song and may take awhile (or forever) to understand.

in general, the whole song is about the different definitions of life, explained by religion and quantum physics.
basically, the girl is religion, and she sings about her mother, and the emotions she feels when her mother passes on.
the guy is quantum physics, and he sings about protons, electrons and neutrons that constantly moves and implies that life doesn't exist.
sounds confusing, no?

it's a great song though; the band and music matured really well.

super yummy stuff, and i love the fact that they served my fish & chips the traditional way!

hubby says: nelson - 7 oz burger topped with beef bacon, jalapeno & rocket. accompanied by cajun potato wedges and humus dip.

i say: that is one scary looking burger.

HUMONGOUS.

only the husband is worthy of such, errr, masterpiece.

lunch at chili's, bangsar shopping centre...

hubby says: crispy honey-chipotle chicken crispers served with homestyle fries & loaded mash.

i say: my favorite dish from chili's!

certainly helps that this meal was free, ngek ngek!

dinner at chili's, suria klcc...

hubby says: sammy - tequila lime fish steak.

nelson - southwestern eggrolls & avocado-ranch dip.

i say: never adore the eggrolls. first time trying the fish; love it!

will definitely order it more often when i want to feel healthy.

lunch at muhibah, taman tun before heading to kampar, perak for dinner...

hubby says: - sang kong tofu with seafood.

- chicken tom yam.

- sweet & sour chicken.

i say: always enjoyed my meals with the hubby at muhibah.

it is one of those things that we enjoy doing together, hee.

when i was much younger, my grandma used to always buy it for me because it was my favorite.
i remember it, every single time i follow her to the morning market where her flat was, she would buy those scrumptious pink kueh for me.

i always lament how i keep missing the awesome flea markets in kl and selangor whenever i'm not at home!

then i start to feel depressed because penang (where i'm at when i'm studying) do not have these on a weekly basis.

anyway, look what daddy got me!

yes, i still get super excited when my daddy buys me stuff, particularly things that bring me back to my childhood days.

finally brought it out today for a test run (because i don't really trust my sewing/craft skills, LOL) but it didn't fall apart, so YAY!

i watch her settle down right next to me.
she had her share of belly rubs, and is in dire need of rest.

as she positioned her body, her head slowly droops onto the corner; she loves resting her head on something.
but the corner was too shallow; her head keeps slipping onto the floor.
i told her to wait, as she gazed upon me, a wee puzzled.

i went to retrieve a beaten up pillow; with cuts and signs of wear.
when i turned back, she has her head on the floor again.
as she notices me approaching, her heavy eyes lifted a little and watched me silently.

i told her to lift her head up; she'll appreciate her little nap more if the pillow is there.
she refused to move, so i had to nudge her chin a little as an encouragement.
thankfully, she obliged, albeit reluctantly.

she gently placed her head on the beaten-up-but-soft pillow; her eyes gazing at me as her head slowly droops down.
her eyes refused to close, still watching me as i smiled at her.
slowly, her eyes drooped to a final, heavy thud, and she let out a heavy sigh.
a sigh of relief; that she can finally sleep in peace.

she turned eight this year.
i remembered like it was yesterday, when we brought tiny her back home with us.
she shivered in fear in the car, and my mom placed her on a pillow, trying to comfort her.
i figured the pillow has now become her friend; the one she confides in when she needs a little assurance, a little security.

i wish i can be her pillow all the time.

i would really cry if she's no longer here.
the hubby doesn't understand; he never will.
he thinks it is ridiculous, but i can't help it.
she's my little baby.

always have been, and always will be.

as i turned to look at her, there she is; finally sleeping peacefully.
and look, she repositioned herself again, haha.

when the hubby called just now, i picked up the courage to tell him something that has been playing in my mind very recently.
which was...

me: darling? i feel like having a dragon baby.
him: ??? why so random?
me: saja lah. nice what.

*followed by a long silence*

him: BUT THAT'S IN TWO YEARS!!!

a few long silences filled in between our conversation (or more like, when the hubby was trying to reason with me) as he continued to explain further why i have to crush this little desire of mine.
he explained that we haven't got a house yet.
you see, the hubby and i only agree to settle down once we get a house.
note that when i brought this issue up, i don't consider or even care about the house LOL.
he also reasoned with me, saying we're not financially stable yet.
and this.
and that...

of course the hubby is right.
but the idea seemed very appealing to me so suddenly, i don't know why.
i wouldn't call it raging hormones.
it feels kinda strange, but nice in a way.

all in all, i think i managed to single-handedly scare the hubby for the next few months.

i got a pair of dressy flats because i need one that is dinner-worthy yet casual enough with an oomph.

yesterday, i spotted this in midvalley, also the last pair in my size, but three of the jewels had fallen out.
i was contemplating to get it (with its many obvious flaws), but it was still a lot of money (to me).

i practically instructed (hee!) my parents who were at one utama for dinner to look for this particular pair.
they found it, but weren't sure.
daddy said it was in size 38, last pair left, much to my horror!
but mom was pretty adamant about it being kinda teeny-sized.

in the end, my parents love me so much that they brought me to the store in one utama this morning to check it out myself.
and there it was, the beaut in absolutely perfect condition; most importantly, IN MY SIZE!

of course i purchased it.
with a little incentive from mommy and daddy, so huge thank yous to them!
